Lori had some experiences while at Houmas Plantation including seeing a lady in a green
dress, not knowing the history of the house until later. She told one staff member about the
experience and learnt that this apparition was a part of the history of the place. She also
saw another apparition there that was not the little girl that is talked about in the "Ghosts"
section of Houmas Plantation Official Website. She described the feeling she got from the
spirits and some cheerful and some quiet. There was also a sense of sadness there.
There was one little blue orb that followed her around that she caught on camera in a lot of
photos. If you read the history of the ghosts at Houmas on their website, the little girl they
speak of died in a blue dress. I'm not supposing any connections to this blue dot on the
photos that followed Lori as the little girl but it isn't out of the range of possibility. We found
that odd.
These photos were taken during a wedding party at Houmas Plantation and according to
their website, the little girl seems curious when there is a lot of physical activity in the place.
This is just to note the experience with the blue orb. It may or may not be that spirit. One can

Houmas Plantation is haunted by more than just a few ghosts. We hope to do an
investigation there in the future with the whole team if owners and staff permit.

enough, as batteries going dead suddenly or draining quickly is considered to be a good
sign of paranormal activity, she went through two batteries while at the wedding party. A
great prospect for a full investigation!
